
Nikki ShupaVu Thompson is a Miami, Florida native with West-Indian roots that hail from the Bahamas islands. She is a playwright, author, actor and singer. Her short film “NICE GUY”, an MFA Thesis was screened at the Otis S. Johnson Cultural Arts Center in Savannah, GA,as well as the Garde Arts in New London, CT. Her play “THE MISSION” was chosen for the SCAD Scripted Playwriting Spring Showcase stage reading 2026, which led to being awarded the Miranda Scholarship to attend the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center in Waterford, CT working alongside her mentors Ren Dara Santiago and Max Yu. Through the Eugene O’Neill program favorite original works written were “OH, HOLY…CRAP, a short film and “Easy on the Rocks” , a Jazz musical. She is a published author of 5 books. Most noted Blaq Gurl Blu 2 Nu and Touched.
